Film Posters

There are 3 main types of movie posters:

Teaser Poster- The teaser poster won't give away much information it will usually include a picture to "tease" the audience with. The way this film has been teased with this poster is that you get there will be a sense of adventure as the two blacked out characters are walking as though on a quest. The guns in their hands lets the audience know there will be violence, as well as Quentin Tarantino's name attached to the poster as this is built in awareness to anyone who has seen his previous productions.

Character Posters
These will show the characters and sell the film to the audience by showing the actors who involved. This type of poster makes the audience curious as to what personality/role the character will play in the film as the play as enigma's before the film's release.

Cinematic Posters
These will include all the information on who made the film and who stars along with the release date of the film itself. This type of poster will ultimately help the audience decide whether or not they want to watch the film as they can see who is involved with the finished product. Like the teaser poster this creates a sense of adventure and violence but with Leonardo DiCaprio's face in orange signifies conflict between the two characters standing prominently this shows they are the protagonists of the film.
